New Coaching Job & Update

I am very excited to let everyone know that I recently was hired as the new Varsity Men’s Basketball Coach at Heritage High School in Wake Forest North Carolina.

I am so excited to coach these young men and lead the program, it is a special place that I was able to be an assistant at for 3 seasons prior and I can’t wait for the season to start. This also means I will be able to add a different view to breakdowns, articles, and future playbooks and clinics that I am looking forward to sharing.

At Heritage, all of our games will be live streamed on the NFHS network, and we will be using Synergy in our workflow for our game breakdowns.

For this substack, my business at The Basketball Playbook nothing will really change but the “live watches” on Twitter will be fewer until the high school season ends in March. You can expect the same 2-3 breakdown articles a week this season when everything kicks back off in October again and the current play and film breakdowns here until then.

The biggest thing that will change is obviously time and that is why I have made the decision to look to add some help and build a team to assist me in some of the processes.

For the last 10 years, I have run my operation alone, and while that has been a great learning journey for me, I now want to expand and add some people to the team.
