BOB - Eastern Washington
Eastern Washington had the highest PPP on baseline out of bounds in the country compared to other division 1 schools. While this isn’t a “true PPP” since Synergy tracks any possession-ending sequence as a BOB result, it still is a good indicator of overall efficiency.
Most of Eastern Washington's baseline package starts with a Box setup with players at the blocks and elbows. We will explore more about their entire baseline out-of-bounds series in a week or so, but this was my favorite action they ran.
The ball-side block lifts to the corner and some basic off-ball screening action up top creates weakside movement. After the ball is passed to the corner the inbounder then looks to post up his man. From the film is seems they look to this action when the inbounder’s man is deeper under the basket to allow for an easier post-up position.
