Phoenix Suns "Hawk" After Time Out Series

The Phoenix Suns over the last 7 games have been running 9 different counters built off of one main action - Hawk into a double ballscreen. “Hawk” action is a term taken from Hubie Brown’s offense that he ran with his teams and was used when he coached the Atlanta Hawks. It is very similar to a UCLA cut, but the ball is dribbled to the wing and then a player cuts off a screen toward the basket set around the elbow.
